Juniper App

Prolific Western Australian artist Robert Juniper created a series of artworks in the 1970s for a children’s book called Mason Judy, written by Trevor Todd.  Now the artworks and the story have been digitised by the State Library of Western Australia for a new generation to enjoy.  Through the Juniper App users can:

  • Read the Mason Judy story
  • Listen to it being read by the author
  • Explore the paintings in depth
  • Learn more about the social and community environment of the time
  • See how the artwork connects to historical documents and photographs from the State Library’s collection
  • Access the related education program, featuring discussion points, facts and information and activities for use in the classroom

Funding for the development of the Juniper App, as well as the digitisation of the Juniper paintings and the Mason Judy book, was provided by the State Library Foundation in partnership with BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
